A high number of companies would like to reuse old data in modern service architectures but have the problem that in these old data, transcriptions are still used for writing umlauts (e.g. “ae” instead of “ä”).

The solution to this problem is IAI’s umlaut conversion which, on the basis of linguistic knowledge, carries out the purposeful conversion of the transcriptions.
