The aim of IMAGINE (Interfacing Mobile Communication with Voice Natural Language Interactivity) is to design and develop software technology that allows for the interaction with electronic business applications through a multi-lingual natural language interface from mobile devices and other appliances. The full potential given by electronic business-to-consumer markets is made available to a broader audience by providing e-commerce capabilities via mobile phone. The project will create two deployment scenarios, a voice-enabled interface to two specific e-business applications,(an English and a Spanish e-business site) and a development platform that allows for easy knowledge acquisition and adaptation of IMAGINE to new applications.
